The footballer, 32, who shares a son with Lauryn, 30, took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a lengthy statement in which he admitted to making 'mistakes' and vowed to 'make it right' with Annie, 28, who he has reconciled with.

However, a source close to Lauryn told MailOnline that she feels 'betrayed' and 'humiliated' by Kyle's apology, as she claims he has not been honest about his involvement with her and other women.

The source said: 'Lauryn is absolutely livid. She can't believe that Kyle has the audacity to apologise to Annie publicly, when he hasn't even apologised to her privately.

'She feels like he's trying to paint himself as a saint, when he's actually been a serial cheat. He's not only cheated on Annie with Lauryn, but with several other women as well.

'Lauryn is in complete shock. She thought they had a genuine connection, and that he cared for her and their son. But now she feels like he's used her and thrown her away like a piece of rubbish.

'She's also furious that he's trying to make out that he's a devoted father, when he's hardly seen their son since he was born. He's missed out on so many milestones and precious moments.

'Lauryn feels betrayed and humiliated by Kyle. She thinks he's a coward and a liar, and that he owes her an apology.'

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Kyle and Lauryn for comment.

Kyle and Lauryn welcomed their son Kairo in April 2020, after a brief fling while he was on a break from Annie, who he has three children with.

The couple split in 2019 after Kyle's alleged affair with reality star Laura Brown, but they rekindled their romance in June 2020, after he reportedly proposed to her with a £250,000 ring.

However, their relationship was rocked again in November 2020, when Kyle was accused of breaking lockdown rules by hosting a sex party with two escorts at his flat.

He later apologised for his 'irresponsible' behaviour, and said he had let down his family, friends and fans.

On Wednesday, Kyle took to Instagram to share a picture of himself and Annie, and wrote a heartfelt message in which he expressed his regret and love for her.

He wrote: 'I want to take this opportunity to address the speculation surrounding my relationship with Annie.

'Firstly I want to say I have made mistakes, something I deeply regret. I have apologised to Annie, and she has decided to stand by me. I appreciate this is something that will take time to get over.

'Secondly I would like to say that I love Annie and our three children with all my heart. They are my world and I will do everything in my power to make it right and make it up to them.

'Thirdly I would like to say that I am sorry to anyone who has been hurt or affected by my actions. I know I have let a lot of people down, especially my fans, and I apologise for that.

'I am now focused on the future, on being the best person, partner and father I can be. I hope that in time, people will see that I have learned from this and that I am a better person for it.
