Selena Gomez may not have taken home a Golden Globe on Tuesday night, but she still had plenty of reasons to celebrate. The Only Murders in the Building star, who was nominated for best actress in a comedy series, attended the ceremony with her boyfriend, producer and songwriter Benny Blanco.
The couple, who have been dating since last year, looked stunning on the red carpet, with Gomez wearing a black velvet Valentino gown with dramatic puff sleeves, and Blanco sporting a black suit and a white shirt. They posed for photos together, smiling and holding hands, and even shared a kiss for the cameras.
Gomez later posted a photo of their smooch on her Instagram story, writing, “I’m the real winner” with a heart emoji. She also shared a video of them dancing and laughing in the car on their way to the event, as well as a clip of them watching the show from their seats.

Gomez and Blanco have kept their relationship relatively low-key, but they have occasionally shown their affection for each other on social media. In December, Gomez wished Blanco a happy birthday with a sweet message, calling him “my love” and “my best friend”. Blanco also posted a tribute to Gomez on her birthday in July, saying he was “so lucky” to have her in his life.
The pair met through their mutual friend and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, who produced Gomez’s 2020 album, Rare. Blanco has also worked with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Halsey, and Maroon 5. He is a four-time Grammy winner and a two-time Golden Globe nominee.
Gomez and Blanco were not the only ones who had a romantic night at the Golden Globes. Other celebrity couples who attended the event included Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Sandra Oh and Adam Scott, and Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor.
