Country singer Zac Brown has filed a lawsuit against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, alleging that an Instagram post on her page violates their confidentiality agreement and damages his reputation.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Zac Brown, the lead singer of the Zac Brown Band, has requested a temporary restraining order. He aims to force Yazdi to remove the post in question, preventing her from making false, defamatory, or harmful statements against him.
The specific Instagram photo has not been disclosed. Kelly Yazdi, who married Brown in August 2023, typically shares images and videos of herself in swimsuits and participating in sports like swimming, snowmobiling, and fishing.
Yazdi’s latest post from May 4 alluded to “narcissistic abuse.” In the caption, she described control tactics and referenced “projections,” “gaslighting,” “threatening,” and “stonewalling” as ingredients of narcissistic abuse.
Page Six reached out to both Yazdi and representatives for Brown, but there has been no immediate response regarding the lawsuit.
Zac Brown and Kelly Yazdi got engaged in 2022 during a Hawaiian vacation. Although the duration of their relationship remains undisclosed, Yazdi appeared in various social media posts from the band throughout the summer. A July 2022 birthday tribute video to Brown showed Yazdi wearing an impressive ring on her finger.
The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Brown’s home state of Georgia in August 2023, but they have since announced their separation.
