In a groundbreaking move, will.i.am is set to revolutionize the radio industry with the launch of his new AI-powered service, RAiDiO.FYI. Developed under his tech company FYI, this innovative platform allows listeners to interact with AI DJs and customize their listening experience. The service, accessible for free via the FYI app on all smartphones, goes beyond music to include discussions on news, sports, weather, and more

.

Speaking to Billboard, will.i.am highlighted the unique interactive features of RAiDiO.FYI: “The request line has always been awesome for radio when callers get to talk to the DJ or guests, but they’re limited to one person at a time. This is an infotainment revolution where you can go back and forth with information in a deep way.”

Currently in its early stages, RAiDiO.FYI plans to partner with content creators to develop dedicated stations across various genres and niches, similar to traditional terrestrial radio.

In addition to his latest venture, will.i.am recently shared insights into his involvement with Dr. Dre’s Beats headphones. He recounted how he and Interscope Records founder Jimmy Iovine conceptualized the idea of selling their own hardware, leading to the creation of Beats. Will.i.am’s contributions as an equity shareholder and creative thinker played a crucial role in the brand’s success, with the Black Eyed Peas’ hit “Boom Boom Pow” prominently featuring Beats headphones.

With RAiDiO.FYI, will.i.am continues to push the boundaries of innovation, blending technology and entertainment to create a unique and interactive listening experience.
